This is the story behind the CEO of the company, Jamie Hamel:
"When I was a boy, my brother and I lived on a small plot of land in the country. We had Monarch butterflies everywhere. By accident we found out that the cute little caterpillar would turn into a Monarch butterfly, so we decided to help them out. We had a shelf in our garage and we lined it with jars filled with caterpillars. We would feed them in different stages and they would end up hatching, then we would let them free to fly away. They would return each year and we did this until I was in my teens. The name itself was simply the road we lived on, Nessa Lane. It was the happiest time of my life. Still is to this day."

We minimize our carbon footprint as much as possible by using metal tin vessels for our candles. Re-use and recycle.
Our candles are made with a hemp wick and 100% soy wax.
We want our customers to breathe cleaner air when burning our candles, versus candles that are made with paraffin wax.
